Company Description
•Position Summary Responsible for the engineering development, technical research and technical support activities of LEMO USA.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides supervision of the activities of the Engineering staff engaged in product development, design, modification, process definition/improvement and related technical support functions.
• Identifies and allocates manpower and resources to assure completion of established objectives and schedule guidelines while upholding the highest technical standards.
• Assists management in identifying and initiating technical projects and programs which lead to improved processes and products, reduced costs or increased output.
• Manages the objectives and scope of technical projects and communicates goals, scope, approach and schedules to assigned engineering and technical personnel for the performance of tasks and projects.
• Interfaces between LEMO USA Engineering & LEMO Group Engineering. Works with Marketing on product definitions, modifications and new developments.
• Completes periodic progress reports and assesses results of technical projects.
• Makes presentations to management identifying results of Engineering projects, which may have substantial influence on the successful development of new or improved products or processes, or the solution of existing production or product problems.
• Troubleshoots persistent technical problems causing delays of engineering tasks and projects. Establishes budgets for conducting engineering activities and accompanying technical projects; forecasts manpower, equipment and supply needs; and is held responsible for managing engineering activities within established budgetary guidelines.
• Manages change with a vision and participates on the Management team in planning and strategy.
• Mentors/coaches Engineering staff to motivate and improve performance.
• Manages day-to-day issues in a complex, changing environment.
• Initiates comprehensive and effective troubleshooting and problem analysis methods.
• Manages multiple projects with attention to customer requirements and deadlines.
• Provides technical support to Quality Assurance department.
